Job summary

Upwork is seeking Danish Audio Segmentation and Transcription experts to support an AI training initiative focused on improving Danish speech recognition models. You will produce precise, verbatim Danish transcripts from real audio recordings, including filler words and repetitions, with accurate speaker labels as needed.

This role requires native Danish fluency, sharp listening, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Danish with regional accents
• Excellent listening and attention to detail
• Ability to produce verbatim transcripts including stutters and fillers
• Experience in transcription or linguistics preferred
• Comfort with browser-based tools and stable internet
• Reliable device and internet connection
• Availability for 20+ hours per week

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and produce accurate, verbatim Danish transcripts
• Add speaker labels for multi-speaker recordings (2–8 participants)
• Insert precise timestamps for text segments (≤500 ms deviation)
• Annotate non-speech elements such as laughter, background noise, or unclear audio
• Follow project instructions and maintain high quality standards
• Ensure steady productivity and reliability throughout the project
