Job summary

Jones Engineering in Copenhagen is seeking a highly skilled CSA Engineer to join its project delivery team. You will lead QA activities for Data Centre projects, review submittals, monitor site QC programs and drive conformance with contract and design requirements.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree and at least five years of experience, with BIM familiarity and strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review and revise the Site QC program with subcontractors and monitor conformance.
  • Inspect new works in the CSA scope of work.
  • Review and approval of Technical Submittals.
  • Attend Quality Control meetings with the construction team during the project life cycle.
  • Coordinate required tests, inspections and demonstrations with client or any authority having jurisdiction.
  • Inspect purchased and equipment arriving at site to ensure conformance with contract/specifications.
  • Monitor repair or reconstruction of rejected work and document corrective actions.
  • Assist sub-contractors in developing repair procedures.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party inspection to ensure testing is performed and results acceptable.
  • Advise field staff of quality deficiencies and remedial actions.
  • Track and close open defects in line with project schedule.
  • Ensure O&M manuals align with contract requirements with turnover teams.
  • Assist with inspections/walkdowns documentation with certifier and design teams.
  • Review material test reports with Structural Engineer and Site Engineer for non-conformances.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CSA Engineer to join our engineering team with over 130 years of delivering high-quality, customer-focused projects. As a CSA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution and delivery of Data Centre projects. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the continued growth and reputation of our company as a world-class engineering contractor.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Review and revise (as required) the establishment and implementation of the Site QC program with subcontractors and monitor their conformance
  • Inspect new works performed in the CSA scope of work
  • Review and approval of Technical Submittals
  • Attend Quality Control (or quality control portion of weekly CSA constructing) meeting with the construction team during the life cycle of the project
  • Coordinate required test, inspections and demonstrations with client or any other authority having jurisdiction
  • Inspect purchased and equipment arriving at the site to ensure conformance with the requirements of the Contract/Specification or Purchase Order
  • Monitor the repair or reconstruction of rejected work and document corrective action and preventing action
  • Assist sub-contractors in the development of repair procedures.
  • Co-ordinate with 3rd party inspection to ensure that all required testing has been performed and that acceptable results have been achieved
  • Advise field staff of quality and deficiencies detected during “in-progress” inspection and assists and advises on any requirements and remedial actions
  • \"Track and chase” to closure open defects in line with the project schedule.
  • Responsibility of Site Work Documentation of Conformance and Inspections for the entire project’s period
  • Coordinate with the companies “turn over team” that the O&M manual etc. is always in line with the requirement, as specified in Contract
  • Assist with the completion of Kommune required inspections/walkdowns related documentation with assigned certifier, design teams and subcontractors
  • Review and coordinate all material test reports in conjunction with Structural Engineer and Site Engineer, ensuring all non-conformances are identified and closed out to the satisfaction of the Structural Engineer and Contracts Manager in a timely manner
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to liaise with others and work well as part of a team
Skills and Requirements:
  • Relevant third level engineering qualification essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role required
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other relevant engineering technologies.
  • Familiarity with the Contract Scope of Work, Drawings, Specifications and Codes and Standards required
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards in mechanical engineering.
