Job summary

Iax GmbH is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support a major offshore wind Transport & Installation contract. The role involves contractual management and commercial support through pre-execution and project delivery, ensuring obligations and rights are effectively managed.

Ideal candidates will have strong FIDIC-based contract experience and background in T&I contracts within offshore wind or related energy sectors, with solid risk, variation and change management capabilities.

Contract Manager – Offshore Wind

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support a major offshore wind Transport & Installation (T&I) contract.

The successful candidate will provide contractual management and commercial support throughout the pre-execution and project delivery phases, ensuring that contractual obligations, rights and requirements are effectively managed.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contract professional with a strong background in FIDIC-based contracts, ideally with specific experience in T&I contracts within the offshore wind, marine or energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and administer the project contract in accordance with the applicable contractual terms and conditions.
2. Provide contractual advice and guidance to project and commercial teams.
3. Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, notices and key milestones.
4. Manage contractual correspondence, variations, claims and change.
5. Identify, assess and manage contractual risks and potential areas of exposure.
6. Ensure contractual rights and obligations are clearly understood and appropriately actioned.
7. Work closely with project, commercial, procurement and operational teams to support successful contract delivery.
8. Maintain accurate contractual records and documentation.
9. Support the resolution of contractual issues and disputes where required.
10. Contribute to commercial and contractual reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Proven experience as a Contract Manager or in a similar contractual/commercial role.
2. Strong experience working with FIDIC-based contracts.
3. Previous experience with Transport & Installation (T&I) contracts is highly desirable.
4. Experience within the offshore wind, offshore construction, marine or wider energy sectors would be advantageous.
5. Strong understanding of contractual risk, claims, variations and change management.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
7. The ability to work effectively with internal project teams, clients and contractors.
8. A proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
