Meet the Concept Model Building Exploration team. The Concept Model Exploration team works in Play Discovery to help turn the teams’ ideas into brick‑built prototypes. They work with existing LEGO® elements (classic, technic and DUPLO) to create concept models to demonstrate the minimum viable play of an idea. They work with other skilled inventors of different disciplines to integrate their innovative new digital and physical inventions into LEGO® model form to explore the future play potential of interactive LEGO® models. They leverage their expertise in structural, mechanical and play design to create amazing proof‑of‑concepts big and small and really bring ideas to life in brick form.
Curiosity Our teams thrive on a playful curiosity in all they do. You need to be always asking questions, seeking the reason “why”, digging for answers even when it’s hard and never stop wondering “what if…”
Bravery Our organisation is a huge place full of different people and different perspectives. You need to be comfortable meeting new people every day, speaking up when you disagree, receiving feedback, facing the unknowns of innovation head on and forging yourself a path when things aren’t well defined.
Focus Our workload and priorities are always changing. You need to be happy shifting priorities fast, focusing on a high priority task one week then focusing on developing your own independent curiosities the next.
Vision Our concepts require a strong vision. You need to thrive in co‑creating that vision for future LEGO® models in partnership with the multidisciplinary innovation teams around you.
