Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Compliance and Laboratory Lead to join the Innovation Centre, driving regulatory compliance and overseeing laboratory operations. The role supports fermentation trials and R&D activities within a dynamic, cross‑functional team in Copenhagen.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with practical lab management experience, and holds a degree in risk management, business administration or food science, along with two years of laboratory work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Food Science or related field.
• At least two years of laboratory experience.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Experience working with R&D projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, ethical standards and industry requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes, conduct risk assessments and audits, investigate non-conformities, implement corrective actions and report findings to management.
• Ensure audit and inspection readiness by maintaining records and coordinating internal and external audits.
• Promote a strong compliance culture through training and guidance to employees.
• Lead daily laboratory operations with safety, efficiency and quality.
• Manage laboratory infrastructure, calibration, maintenance and purchasing of supplies and reagents.
• Develop and standardise laboratory practices, procedures and test protocols.
• Train and support laboratory personnel and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to support R&D, fermentation trials and innovation.
