Job summary

LEGO System A/S is seeking an experienced Communications Manager in Denmark to shape LEGO Education's external and internal storytelling. You will partner with media agencies, manage press materials, and craft messages for educators, leaders, and policy audiences.

You will develop narratives, support executives with visibility and announcements, and lead internal events. Fluency in English is required; Danish is strongly preferred. This hybrid role combines office and home-based work in Billund.

Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate brand communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, education, or related field.
  • Strong background in internal, corporate, brand, or external communications within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to transform complex topics into clear, audience-relevant messages and compelling stories.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence in advising senior leaders across functions and geographies.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills; ability to produce polished assets quickly.
  • Experience in media engagement, PR activities, executive visibility, and internal events or change communications.

Responsibilities

  • Transform LEGO Education priorities into engaging stories for educators, school leaders, policy audiences, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with media agency teams and a US Senior Communications Manager on media engagement and press materials.
  • Develop narrative frameworks and audience-specific key messages for announcements, launches, research, policy, and education topics.
  • Assist senior leaders with visibility opportunities, spokesperson prep, executive messaging, and major announcements.
  • Plan and deliver internal events such as Town Halls and leadership updates.
  • Create high-quality assets: press materials, Q&A documents, executive briefings, talking points, and toolkits.
  • Develop crisis playbooks, escalation processes, and governance for sensitive topics.

Job DescriptionAre you an experienced communications professional with a passion for education, storytelling and engaging colleagues around a shared mission? We are looking for a communications Manager based in Denmark to help shape and deliver clear, compelling communications for LEGO Education, with a particular focus on partnering with media and media agencies and supporting leaders with developing & delivering key messages to our global education audience.Please noteHybrid work model of three office days and two home days weekly. This position is based at LEGO System A/S Aastvej 17190 Billund, Denmark.No relocation assistance is offered for this position.Core ResponsibilitiesEducation-Market Storytelling: Transform LEGO Education priorities into engaging stories for educators, school leaders, policy audiences, and internal stakeholders, emphasizing K-12 education.Media Agency Partnership and Press Support: Collaborate with media agency teams and a US Senior Communications Manager to manage proactive and reactive media engagement, press materials, and external communications.Narrative Frameworks and Key Messages: Develop narrative frameworks and audience-specific key messages for LEGO Education priorities, including major announcements, product launches, research, policy, and education-market topics.Executive Visibility and Major Announcements: Assist senior leaders with visibility opportunities, spokesperson preparation, executive messaging, and communications for major internal and external announcements, including blogs and keynotes.Sensitive Content Review and Governance: Coordinate the review of sensitive communications, ensuring accuracy, alignment, audience appropriateness, and proper approval routing.Internal Communication Execution: Plan and deliver internal communication events such as Town Halls, leadership updates, and materials that connect employees to key priorities and major announcements.Communication Assets: Create high-quality assets, including press materials, Q&A documents, executive briefings, talking points, presentations, and announcement toolkits.Crisis, Issues, and Escalation Support: Develop crisis playbooks, escalation processes, and issues-management materials to handle sensitive or high-risk topics with clarity, speed, and appropriate governance.Play Your Part in this Team SucceedingLEGO Education is focused on expanding its reach and impact in classrooms around the world by delivering hands-on, purposeful learning experiences that help every student succeed. This role will help connect LEGO Education’s stories, messages and moments to connect our colleagues, partners and education audiences to our mission of inspiring and developing the builders of tomorrow.Do you have what it takes?Experience in corporate brand communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, education, or related field.Strong background in internal, corporate, brand, or external communications within a global, matrixed organization.Preferred experience in the education market, especially K-12, K-8, schools, districts, education technology, curriculum, or educator-facing communications.Ability to transform complex business, product, research, or policy topics into clear, audience-relevant messages and compelling stories.Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence in advising senior leaders and collaborating across functions, geographies, and organizational levels.Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to produce polished communication assets quickly.Experience in media engagement, PR activities, executive visibility, message development, internal events, or change communications.Self-starter and individual contributor who remains connected to local and global teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office.
