Job summary

DFDS is strengthening its Cloud Engineering team to modernise its IT infrastructure and application landscape. You will join a cross‑functional group of cloud engineers and SREs, helping define ways of working, contributing to strategy, and bringing ideas to life.

We focus on cloud infrastructure, developer experience on a self‑service platform, and containerisation across applications. You’ll collaborate with teams to promote cloud adoption and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Kubernetes, containers (Docker/Podman), and microservice architectures.
• CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and observability tooling.
• Messaging systems like Kafka, relational databases, or REST APIs.
• Frontend technologies like React (not core to the role).
• AI-assisted engineering with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

Responsibilities

• Apply industry concepts using diverse tooling.
• Writing infrastructure as code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Developing tooling in Python or GoLang.
• Supporting CI/CD automation and GitOps workflows.
• Contributing to the containerisation and modernisation of applications.
• Collaborating closely with developers, architects, and other teams to ensure cloud adoption.
