Job summary

Global FinTech Talent is seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to embed security across a modern Azure environment. You will design, implement and continuously improve cloud security controls, working with engineering, DevOps and business stakeholders to make security part of everyday delivery.

This role offers meaningful ownership of cloud security in a collaborative technical setting, with opportunities to influence secure-by-design decisions across teams and production environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure cloud security experience (AKS, Defender for Cloud).
• Identity & access management, Zero Trust, RBAC, MFA.
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and automating controls (GitHub Actions, Snyk).
• Container security and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiar with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls and audit processes.

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to help embed security across a modern Azure environment. You will design, implement and continuously improve cloud security controls, working closely with engineering, DevOps and business stakeholders to make security part of everyday delivery.

What you will do

• Design, implement and maintain secure architectures in Microsoft Azure, with particular focus on AKS and workload protection.
• Deploy, manage and improve Microsoft Defender for Cloud for threat detection, vulnerability management and compliance monitoring.
• Embed security into CI/CD pipelines through automated policy enforcement, code and dependency scanning, and infrastructure compliance checks.
• Apply Zero Trust principles and robust role-based access control across users, services and infrastructure, including MFA controls.
• Partner with developers and DevOps engineers to strengthen secure coding, container security and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Support security and compliance activities relating to frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, including risk assessments, documentation and audit preparation.
• Monitor and respond to cloud security alerts and incidents, improving detection and response processes over time.
• Promote practical security awareness and help teams make secure-by-design decisions from development through production.

What we are looking for

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud security, including AKS and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• A solid understanding of identity and access management, Zero Trust, RBAC, MFA, network security and cloud workload protection.
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and automating security controls using GitHub Actions, Snyk or comparable tools.
• Practical knowledge of container security and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls and audit processes.
• The ability to work effectively across security, development, operations and non-technical stakeholder groups.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and an interest in building a strong security culture.
