Job summary

Spirii seeks a hands-on Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and scale a secure cloud platform powering our charging products. You will work across AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD, and platform tooling, promoting DevOps practices and strong ownership.

You will join a collaborative team in Copenhagen, focusing on reliable, scalable infrastructure and secure delivery, with emphasis on observability, automation, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in a Cloud/DevOps/Platform Engineer role.
  • Strong experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, etc.) and security best practices.
  • Kubernetes (EKS) administration and operations.
  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform or CDKTF.
  • CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance (GitHub Actions or similar).
  • Linux/Unix systems and scripting with TypeScript.
  • Monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, operate, and improve Spirii's AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with CDK for Terraform (CDKTF).
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed platform capabilities and DevOps best practices.
  • Ensure security best practices across our cloud setup.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch.
  • Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure, CI/CD, and runtime environments.
  • Document processes for knowledge sharing and onboarding.
  • Contribute to incident management and disaster recovery.

We are now looking for a Cloud Engineer to join us on this journey. In this role, you will help our engineering teams embrace the DevOps mindset while designing and running our cloud setup. You will be part of building and maintaining a modern, scalable, and secure cloud platform that powers Spirii's products.

You will report to our Engineering Manager and work closely with colleagues across our Engineering teams, both in-house and near-shore.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Build, operate, and improve Spirii's AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with CDK for Terraform (CDKTF).
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling for fast, secure delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed platform capabilities and DevOps best practices.
  • Ensure security best practices and protect against threats across our cloud setup.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and performance using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across infrastructure, CI/CD, and runtime environments.
  • Document processes for knowledge sharing and smooth onboarding.
  • Contribute to incident management and disaster recovery processes.

What You Bring
Must-have

The position is a permanent position in Copenhagen, Denmark. Danish language is not a requirement, but Fluent English language skills are required.
