We are currently looking for a Freelance Paid Search Specialist to support one of our clients, a fast-growing B2B inbound agency based in Copenhagen and Aarhus. The agency helps software, IT, and manufacturing companies generate high-quality leads, and is strengthening its paid search capability across a portfolio of B2B clients.
The role sits within a Search team that excels at devising campaign strategies, executing media buys across platforms, optimizing performance through data analysis, mastering audience targeting, and delivering insightful reporting. This is a part-time freelance assignment (approx. 15–20 hours per week) with flexibility to scale up in busier months. The ideal candidate brings several years of hands‑on B2B paid search experience, a strong understanding of the buyer journey, and the ability to take a brief and run with it independently.
Campaign strategy, management, and optimization
Set up and manage campaigns to reach the right audiences at the right time, with a focus on relevant optimizations
Continuously optimize paid search initiatives to make the best use of client budgets and hit their individual KPIs
Build and execute testing frameworks to help clients achieve their business objectives
Contribute to acquisition strategy and take an active part in analysis work, including keyword research, market and competitor insights, translating findings into actionable steps for the client and the team
Proactively suggest new campaign structures and optimization tactics
Build reports for internal and external stakeholders, turning data and insights into actionable steps
Coordinate with the tracking team to ensure optimal measurement of campaign performance
Understand the impact of paid search on the wider business, reporting on business goals achieved rather than surface-level metrics
Support client communication and participate in strategy, planning, and ideation meetings, internally and with clients
Build relationships and trust with key decision-makers on the client side
Produce paid search audits for potential clients, including recommendations
Participate in client pitches (supporting, not leading) to ensure alignment across the board
3–7 years of B2B paid search experience (must-have)
Strong understanding of the buyer journey and how intent shifts from early research to ready-to-buy (must-have)
Demonstrated track record running Google Ads to attract leads and capture demand
Skilled in keyword, market, and competitor analysis, with the ability to translate research into business insight
Ability to work independently once briefed
Comfortable collaborating across roles – strategists, content creators, designers
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset
Tools & platforms: Google Ads and Google Analytics (core); Looker Studio, Semrush, HubSpot, LinkedIn, and Meta are an advantage
Languages: Fluency English
Scope: Approx. 15–20 hours per week (flexible, with potential for more in some months)
