Job summary

Syddansk Universitet invites applications for a Professor of Shared Decision-making and Professional Development. The post is five years with possible extension and is integrated with Lillebaelt Hospital's joint center.

The professor will lead research on SDM, involve patients and relatives, develop professional development for clinicians, and supervise doctoral students while coordinating education and practice across SDU, the hospital centers and international partners.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent post-graduate research qualification.
• Expertise in educational science as applied to the professional development of healthcare staff.
• Experience teaching at university/postgraduate level and supervising PhD projects.
• Ability to lead research teams and drive strategic development of research centers.
• Experience with attracting external funding for SDM-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic research leadership and centre management for CFFB and CEPI.
• Secure external funding from national and international bodies to support research activities.
• Develop practice-oriented empirical SDM research focusing on patient, relatives and professionals.
