Job summary

NKT A/S is seeking a Material Specialist to support R&D and production for cable applications at the Asnæs site. You will provide material expertise to drive product quality, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with design, production, quality, and procurement within a global R&D network.

You will work on material qualification, testing, and documentation, ensuring materials meet performance and safety standards while aligning with production needs.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in material science, chemical engineering, process engineering or similar.
• Experience working with polymers and metals in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of extrusion processes and material properties.
• Experience with testing methods and applicable product standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide material knowledge and testing to verify products and manufacturing processes.
• Manage material specifications in new and existing cable design in a global R&D function.
• Coordinate validation of materials by organizing investigations and trial activities across site.
• Support quality and production with material-related topics and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain documentation and regulatory compliance for materials.
