Job summary

Robotto is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to build a new Qt-based user application for drone platform data, bringing video, telemetry, and product data into a single reliable interface. This hands-on role requires strong C++ skills, system-level programming, and real-time performance considerations.

You will work with computer vision, control, flight testing and electronics teams to integrate the GUI with the platform, define architecture, ensure code quality, testing, and documentation, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience, preferably in product or application development.
• Strong C++ programming and system-level experience.
• Hands-on experience with the Qt framework for GUI development.
• Experience with video streaming, telemetry data and real-time data flows.
• Professional fluency in English.
• A degree in computer science, software engineering, robotics, electrical engineering or related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a high-quality Qt-based GUI in C++ from the ground up.
• Create reliable interfaces for visualising drone video, telemetry and product data.
• Develop system-level components to support video streaming and telemetry handling.
• Build performant, maintainable solutions for real-time data flows.
• Define and develop the application architecture with the wider team.
• Collaborate across software, hardware, CV and control disciplines to integrate the platform.
• Share knowledge and mentor less experienced engineers.
