Job summary

Fadata, a leading provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, is seeking a Business Development Director, Europe. You will drive revenue growth, expand market presence and cultivate long-term client partnerships across Europe, reporting to the Chief Customer Officer.

You will build robust relationships, lead the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, and collaborate with marketing, product and delivery teams to tailor proposals for key insurers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in software, SaaS, or enterprise technology, with a strong focus on the insurance industry.
• Proven track record of scaling revenue in a defined market, particularly in growing annual revenues from mid to high seven figures.
• In-depth understanding of the Europe insurance landscape, including market dynamics, challenges, opportunities, and regulatory considerations.

Opportunity

As Business Development Director, Europe, you will lead the development and execution of our strategic sales initiatives, focusing on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and cultivating long-term client partnerships in the insurance sector. Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, you will play a pivotal leadership role in scaling our business in Europe by aligning sales strategies with broader organizational goals, building robust client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

Revenue and New Business

• Actively identify approach and engage insurance companies across Europe.
• Personally lead sales conversations from first contact through proposal negotiation and closing.
• Develop trusted relationships with decision makers including executives business leaders and IT stakeholders.
• Convert complex client requirements into clear commercial proposals together with internal teams.

Market Development

• Build the regional pipeline through direct outreach networking referrals and industry events.
• Develop a strong understanding of local insurance markets and customer needs.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross selling within existing client relationships.
• Represent the company in meetings conferences and events as a credible industry partner.

Sales Execution

• Own the full sales cycle and be accountable for results.
• Manage opportunities in the CRM system and keep pipeline data accurate and up to date.
• Prepare proposals business cases and presentations tailored to each client.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms directly with clients.

Collaboration and Feedback

• Work closely with marketing product and delivery teams on active opportunities.
• Bring clear customer feedback from the field to help shape product positioning and sales messaging.
• Share market insights competitor information and deal lessons learned with senior management.

What You Bring To The Table

Experience and Knowledge:

• 5+ years of sales experience in software, SaaS, or enterprise technology, with a strong focus on the insurance industry.
• Proven track record of scaling revenue in a defined market, particularly in growing annual revenues from mid to high seven figures.
• In-depth understanding of the Europe insurance landscape, including market dynamics, challenges, opportunities, and regulatory considerations.
• Expertise in consultative sales methodologies and enterprise solution selling.

Core Skills:

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Dynamics ) and other tools like Ombud, Canva etc.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.
• Resilient, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The position requires availability to travel up to 30% of the time.
