Job summary

Scan Con Construction ApS in Denmark is seeking a hands-on Metalworker to forge, shape, and assemble metal pieces. You will heat, hammer, weld, and drill using a variety of tools in a hot, noisy workshop environment.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety. Experience is helpful but not required; a certification is optional. The role offers full-time hours and a travel-friendly work setup.

• Certification from a recognized blacksmithing institute is good to have but that's not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Forge and shape metal using hammers, anvils, and tongs.
• Heat metal in a forge until malleable.

• Repair and maintain metal objects and equipment.
• Cut and drill metal pieces to specifications.
• Weld and solder metal parts together.
• Operate machinery such as power hammers, punches, drills, and hydraulic presses.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ensure safety standards are met in the workshop.

Job description

Your job will involveshaping and joining heated metal in order to create products. You will be using a forge, hammering, and power tools. Job can include some physical work in hot and noisy environments.

Your key responsibilities & duties will include:

• Forge and shape metal using tools such as hammers, anvils, and tongs
• Heat metal in a forge until it is malleable
• Design and create custom metalwork pieces
• Repair and maintain metal objects and equipment
• Cut and drill metal pieces to the required specifications
• Weld and solder metal parts together
• Operate machinery such as power hammers, hammers and punches, or power tools like drills, presses and hydraulic presses
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ensure safety standards are met in the workshop

Skills:

• English - must be able to communicate in English
• Safety-conscious and reliable
• Physically strong and good with your hands
• Strong understanding of metalworking processes
