Aarhus University in Aarhus, Denmark seeks an Academic beamline specialist to operate and maintain the AU-SGM4 nanoARPES beamline at the ASTRID2 light source. You will collaborate with the Institute of Storage Ring Facilities and support users from initiation through data handling.

The role involves commissioning tasks, development of software for control and analysis, and close collaboration with students and researchers. A master in Physics is required, with strong UHV and ARPES experience.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Physics or equivalent.
• Experience with angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.
• Experience with synchrotron beamline facilities.
• Proven track record designing, maintaining and applying UHV systems.
• Experience with nanoscale ARPES and TR-ARPES is a plus.

Mansioni

• Run and maintain ultra-high vacuum beamlines at the ASTRID2 light source.
• Be the main responsible person for AU-SGM4 beamline and end-station infrastructure for nanoARPES experiments.
• Support and coordinate users during initial contact, beamtimes and data handling discussions.
• Involvement in commissioning tasks such as integration of the APPLE-II undulator.
• Assist with infrastructure adjustments related to the ARPES system and connected systems.
• Lead development of control and analysis software solutions.
