Job summary

DHI invites an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join the Infrastructure team in Hørsholm. You will build and maintain our Azure environment, using IaC with Terraform and PowerShell. You will collaborate with the Azure architect and extend our cloud design documentation.

Requirements include 3+ years in Azure administration, strong PowerShell scripting, and experience deploying and managing cloud resources. Excellent English and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure administration.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Azure resources.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose Azure issues.
• Deep knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation with ARM/Bicep/Terraform.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Azure administration and manage subscriptions, VMs, backups, and updates.
• Provide Azure guidance for projects, troubleshoot, and optimize costs.
• Automate daily tasks using Azure DevOps pipelines and runbooks.
• Administer Azure Reservations and extend cloud architecture design docs.
• Implement landing zone concepts in Terraform and enforce policies.
• Extend Entra, MFA, and PIM configurations for security.
• Create best practices for Azure documentation and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Coordinate with local and global IT teams and liaise with clients as needed.

Responsibilities And Challenges

We are currently seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure team based in Hørsholm, Danmark. You will be working closely with our Azure architect to build and maintain our infrastructure in Azure. We use Infrastructure as Code so the ideal candidate will have experience with Terraform and PowerShell. You will be a part of a friendly and diverse team striving to provide our clients with outstanding technical advice and customer service. The successful candidate will be someone who has deep knowledge of On-premises infrastructure and Azure.

The Main Responsibilities And Challenges In The Job Are

• Daily operation tasks like the creation of subscriptions, VMs, backups, and patching using Azure Update Manager.
• Assists projects with general Azure guidance, troubleshooting, cost optimization, etc.
• Automize more of our daily operations tasks using Azure DevOps pipelines and Azure Automation runbooks.
• Administer Azure Reservations.
• Together with our Azure architect extend our Azure cloud architecture design documentation.
• Implement our landing zone concept in Terraform.
• Implement Azure policies to support our cloud architecture.
• Extend our Conditional Access rules and MFA implementation.
• Extend our Entra and Azure resource PIM solutions.
• Create best practices for Azure documentation for our colleagues.
• Collaborate with the rest of IT regarding users, devices, security, and other related matters.
• Working with security products like Microsoft Defender for cloud.
• Bi-lateral coordinator with local and global colleagues
• Technical report writing
• Liaise with clients as required

Qualifications and personal skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure administration.
• Experience with Azure Cloud, including deploying, configuring, and maintaining resources in the cloud environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Azure.
• Deep knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional skills in written and verbal English.
