Azure Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities and challenges We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Infrastructure team based in Hørsholm, Denmark. You will work closely with our Azure architect to build and maintain our Azure infrastructure. The role involves Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and PowerShell, and requires deep knowledge of on-premises infrastructure and Azure.

• Daily operation tasks such as creation of subscriptions, VMs, backups, and patching using Azure Update Manager.
• Assist projects with general Azure guidance, troubleshooting and cost optimisation.
• Automate daily operations using Azure DevOps pipelines and Azure Automation runbooks.
• Extend Azure cloud architecture design documentation with the Azure architect.
• Implement Azure policies to support our cloud architecture.
• Extend Conditional Access rules, MFA and Entra/Azure resource PIM solutions.
• Create best‑practice Azure documentation for colleagues.
• Collaborate with IT on users, devices, security and related matters.
• Work with security products such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Bilateral coordination with local and global colleagues.
• Technical report writing.
• Liaise with clients as required.

Qualifications and personal skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure administration.
• Experience with Azure Cloud including deployment, configuration and maintenance of resources.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in Azure.
• Deep knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation using ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional written and verbal English skills.
