Job summary

Boliden invites you to join Gen B as an Automation Development Engineer, part of a one-year graduate program spanning hands-on experience across sites in Europe. You will learn how Boliden operates end to end while starting in a permanent role and benefiting from a structured development plan.

You will work on automation and control systems, combining office engineering with hands-on processing plant work and collaborating with operations personnel, automation specialists, vendors and system

Qualifications

Degree in automation-related field completed in 2025 or later.
Able to communicate clearly in English.
Hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Develop, configure, test, commission, and maintain automation solutions and control systems.
Support lifecycle management and continuous improvement of control systems and automation platforms.
Integrate components and systems into existing automation architectures.
Produce functional descriptions and requirements specifications.
Participate in factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and system verification.
Troubleshoot operational issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement improvements to maintain high system availability.
Collaborate with operations personnel, automation specialists, vendors, and system suppliers to support maintenance and larger development initiatives.
