Job summary

Syddansk Universitet in Sønderborg invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Materials for Power Electronics / Printed Electronics. The Centre for Industrial Electronics at SDU Sønderborg supports an expanding research and education program in collaboration with industry and regional authorities.

The successful candidate will lead research in multi-material additive manufacturing, polymer composites, and energy-device materials, while contributing to teaching and supervision of PhD

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated outstanding research and publication record in relevant fields.
• Experience with industrial collaboration and translating research to applications.
• Expertise in multi-material additive manufacturing of functional polymer composites.
• Experience developing polymer nanocomposite dielectrics and thin-film capacitors.
• Knowledge of nanoparticle surface modification, dispersion and interface engineering.
• Hands-on experience in materials processing, device fabrication and electrical characterization.
• Ability to relate material structure and manufacturing conditions to electrical performance.
• Peer-reviewed publications in functional materials, additive manufacturing or energy-device research.
• Experience collaborating across materials science and electrical engineering; bio-based or temperature-resistant capacitor materials is a plus.
