As an Associate Software Engineer in our API Gateway Platform team within Digital Platforms, you’ll help shape the services connecting systems across the LEGO Group while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment. Play your part in our team succeeding The API Gateway Platform team within the API Management area develops, maintains, and operates the API gateway supporting LEGO IT integrations across the globe.
Together, we’re creating self-service capabilities, improving developer experiences, and scaling our platform for software engineers worldwide, while building, rebuilding and inspiring new ways of working through shared learning and curiosity.
The API Platform teams are the pillars of our Digital Platforms department. The goal is to build and maintain platforms, tools and libraries that can be reused and shared across all our product domains as well as enabling engineers across the LEGO Group to adopt our platforms and standard methodologies.
The API Platform is at the core of our API first strategy; we believe that APIs are the key for enabling business agility and provide the way for truly empowered product teams that can access the data they need when they need it. For this we strive to provide an obedient, scalable and self-serviced API Platform that helps the LEGO Group achieve a common API surface and standardized consumption.
We are an international team based at the vibrant LEGO Campus in Billund. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, and flexible – and we have some fun along the road!
This role works closely with digital product teams and supports priorities including API gateway capabilities for manufacturing environments and emerging agentic architecture initiatives. You’ll have opportunities to learn, explore new technologies, and help shape how engineers use our platform across the LEGO Group.
