Copenhagen Business School invites applications for a vacant Associate Professorship at the Department of Marketing. Core research areas of the Department of Marketing include Branding, B2B Marketing/Sales, Consumer Behavior, Digital Marketing, and Tourism & Hospitality Management. The associate professor’s research must have a clear relevance to one or more of the Department’s core research areas.
Expected starting date is during 2027 (preferably no later than 1 September).

With more than 45 faculty members representing a variety of backgrounds, research interests and methodological approaches, the department offers a combination of broad and deep expertise with which we co-create and deliver value for sustainable business growth. In addition, the department engages around 60 part-time lecturers with solid, practice-oriented experience. Our teaching responsibilities comprise undergraduate, graduate, and executive teaching in general marketing and across the core research areas of the Department. Teaching is delivered in both Danish and English.
The associate professorship is a tenured position with research and teaching obligations. To fulfil the responsibilities of the position and participate actively in department life, successful applicants are expected to be physically present on a regular basis and engage in the teaching, research, and other academic activities of the Department.
Candidates must demonstrate research and teaching qualifications corresponding to the level achieved through a successful Assistant Professorship or equivalent. Candidates must document relevant, original and up-to-date scientific publications at an international level within one of the core research areas covered by the department. The candidate should be able to document pedagogical qualifications, good teaching evaluations, and the ability to innovate within the educational field. CBS emphasizes the candidate’s ability to establish productive contacts with the business community and other stakeholders to provide impact. The applicant must have professional proficiency in English (written and spoken). The Department has teaching commitments in both English- and Danish-language programmes and welcomes applicants who can contribute to teaching in Danish; however, proficiency in Danish is not a requirement for the position.
