DTU Compute in Lyngby, Denmark, invites applications for tenure-track positions in Embedded Systems Engineering with a focus on parallel and high-performance computing. Join the Embedded Systems Engineering section at DTU Compute and develop research on programming models, compilers, operating systems or computer architecture. We provide intellectual freedom, a balanced teaching load, state-of-the-art facilities, and proposal support.
We seek a tenure-track assistant professor or associate professor whose research advances parallel and high-performance computing. Relevant areas include computer architecture, operating systems, compilers and the intersection thereof. We are specifically interested in candidates that work with future and emerging technologies for HPC, including the post-exascale era. Energy efficiency and sustainable HPC are of high interest. We are also building a significant effort around the integration of HPC and quantum computing and therefore candidates who can bridge these domains with computer architecture are of high interest.
DTU has its own HPC systems, including the DTU Computing Centre, and and you can connect to our funded European projects, including EuroQHPC-I. The projects come with postdocs, PhD students, and access to European computing infrastructure. Experience with quantum computing software stacks or hybrid HPC-quantum systems is an advantage.

You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.
As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The starting date is according to mutual agreement. The position is full-time and based at DTU Lyngby Campus.
