Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Denmark seeks an Associate Director for the Centre for Functional Assays & Screening (CFAS) to lead a 12-person team delivering cell lines enabling high-throughput drug candidate screening.

You will unite the Molecular Biology & Cell Line Development community, shaping lab operations and automation, partnering with scientific colleagues to translate needs into priorities and share leadership with CFAS co-leaders to set direction.

Qualifications

PhD in life sciences or equivalent required.
Demonstrated leadership with 2+ years experience.
Expertise in molecular biology, cell line development or related fields.
Customer-focused with strong stakeholder engagement.
Track record of improving workflows and leading automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of scientists and technicians with accountability.
Lead the Molecular Biology & Cell Line Development community delivering cell lines meeting needs.
Build partnerships, translate scientific needs into priorities balancing project load.
Take operational leadership of CFAS facilities and automation initiatives.
Ensure quality and timely delivery of two CFAS commitments: in vitro immunogenicity assessment and transfer of assays to CMC.
Share leadership with fellow CFAS leaders, coordinating resources across the centre.
