Job summary

University of Copenhagen seeks an Assistant Professor of Molecular Pharmacology to lead in vitro pharmacology studies on GPCR genetic variants, develop novel ligands, and expand high-dimensional data collection in a multidisciplinary setting.

The role spans molecular biology, pharmacology, bioinformatics and data science, with strong emphasis on personalized medicine and leadership development within the research group.

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmacology or related field
• Experience with mammalian cell culture-based techniques
• Experience in assay development and molecular pharmacological characterization of GPCRs
• Experience with FRET and BRET approaches
• Excellent English written and spoken
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• In vitro pharmacology focusing on GPCR genetic variants in recombinant cell lines
• Investigate novel ligands on GPCR targets using diverse pharmacological techniques
• Develop and apply high-dimensional data collection methods (DNA cloning, cell sorting, RNA purification)
• Collaborate across molecular biology, pharmacology, bioinformatics and data science groups
