Job summary

Københavns Universitet offers a three-year PhD fellowship in computational pharmacology and pharmaceutical data science, starting 15 October 2026. Based in Copenhagen, the PhD student will relocate to Denmark, work within ISBUC and CPDSE networks, and teach within pharmaceutical sciences while developing an independent research program.

Qualifications

  • Experience with molecular modelling, molecular dynamics simulations and analysis of simulation data.
  • Excellent programming skills, preferably Python including code versioning in GitHub.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and/or machine-learning methods.
  • Knowledge of protein structure, structural bioinformatics, or molecular interactions; GPCRs or membrane proteins is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out an independent research project under supervision.
  • Complete PhD courses or other equivalent education totaling ~30 ECTS points.
  • Participate in active research environments including a stay at another research team, preferably abroad.
  • Obtain experience with teaching or other dissemination related to your PhD project.
  • Teach undergraduate students in pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Write a PhD thesis on the grounds of your project.
