You will work at the interface of genomics, microbiome analysis, and phenotyping to study drought resilience driven by plant–microbe interactions.

Qualifications

• PhD in plant-microbe interactions or plant microbial ecology.
• Experience in scientific writing and publications.
• Teaching/supervision experience at BSc/MSc/PhD levels.
• Experience writing research proposals for external funding.
• Research experience in plant genomics and microbiome analysis.
• Collaborative teamwork and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct controlled experiments on barley plant-microbe interactions.
• Work with in-vitro assays and high-throughput plant phenotyping.
• Integrate barley SNP and genome data with root microbiome data.
• Publish results in high-impact journals and contribute to teaching.
