Job description

Do you want to join a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure? If so, CIP Fund Solutions (CIP FS) is looking for an Analyst (Student Assistant) to join our office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Team

Valuation team is responsible for investment and fund valuations, reporting, and financial modelling. The team supports investment risk mitigation and optimization activities and communicates investment financial performance across business functions and senior management. In addition, the Valuation team is responsible for developing CIP's different valuation methodologies, discount rates, and model assumption reviews of FID models.

Role

As an Analyst you will contribute to the analysis, reporting and optimisation of CIP's investments globally and across a variety of energy infrastructure assets including on/offshore wind, solar PV, waste to energy, PtX and advanced biofuels. You will work closely together with our highly experienced Valuation Team in an international and dynamic environment. You will constantly be challenged and inspired, while focusing on your learning and personal development. Working with our skilled team members, the right candidate will build a strong commercial and contractual understanding of renewable energy and infrastructure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Financial modelling, valuation and structuring of investments
  • Portfolio monitoring and fund level analysis, including various sensitivity and scenario analysis

The position is part-time and based in our office in NordØ. The workload will vary depending on the number of projects you are working on with flexibility expected from both sides. You will be given the opportunity to shape your daily routine and schedule.

CIPFS is looking for 3rd year BSc and 1st year MSc students in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics and Data Science or any other relevant field.

  • High academic achievements
  • Solid skills within corporate finance especially in terms of valuation and financial modelling
  • Solid skills within Microsoft Excel and data handling are a requirement, where VBA and Python programming skills are beneficial
  • Have an interest in automating manual processes and a mindset for aiming towards higher efficiency by making scalable and efficient processes
  • Possess a strong analytical aptitude and has a structured and project-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to deliver high quality with a best practice mindset and attention to detail
  • Advantage to be proficient in PowerPoint
  • Solution-focused mindset and spirit of inquiry
  • Able to handle responsibilities on your own while working productively with others
  • A good work ethic and a willingness to work in a growing organization with a lot of responsibility and ability to shape your own working day
