Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S is seeking an AI Finance Partner to shape how Business Finance HQ and Investor Relations use AI to enable smarter, faster decisions. You will identify high-value opportunities, bring the right people together, and move ideas from concept to practical tools used across the organisation.

The role emphasises business understanding, rapid learning of new tech, and driving measurable value with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, data science, information systems, engineering or another relevant field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in business partnering, digital transformation, finance, analytics, consulting, product ownership or AI adoption.
• Solid understanding of FP&A toolbox: planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance management and management reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and process-design skills, ability to break complex work into clear use cases, requirements and delivery steps.
• Proactive mindset with strong stakeholder-management and ability to own and drive projects independently.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and prompting, AI agents, workflow optimisation and governance: ChatGPT and Copilot.
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Partner with Business Finance and IR to identify, prioritise and shape AI opportunities linked to clear business outcomes.
• Lead selected use cases from problem definition through prototyping, testing, implementation and adoption.
• Build and maintain a repository of practical, scalable AI tools, prompts, agents, skills and workflows.
• Act as bridge between Novo’s AI CoEs and Business Finance and IR, ensuring guidance and delivery support.
• Drive adoption through training, coaching and hands-on support, including AI Champion network.
• Ensure all delivery follows Novo’s AI, data, security and governance requirements with human oversight.

Spanning two areas close to the centre of Novo, you will spot high-value opportunities, bring the right people and capabilities together, and take ideas from first concept to tools colleagues use and value. Your work will help turn AI from experimentation into lasting business impact.

What you’ll bring

You are a commercially minded AI enthusiast, energised by solving real business problems and bringing others with you. You don’t need to be a data scientist. What matters is your ability to understand the business, learn new technology quickly, challenge established ways of working and turn promising ideas into work that delivers repeatable value. You will bring:

• A master’s degree in business, finance, economics, data science, information systems, engineering or another relevant field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in business partnering, digital transformation, finance, analytics, consulting, product ownership or AI adoption.
• A solid understanding of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) toolbox, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance management and management reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and process-design skills, with the ability to break complex work into clear use cases, requirements and delivery steps.
• A proactive mindset, strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to take ownership and drive projects independently from idea to delivery.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and a practical understanding of prompting, AI agents, workflow optimisation and responsible human validation. Our tools are predominantly ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
• Fluency in English

What you’ll do

Combining the mindset of an internal consultant, product owner and change leader, you will move AI from promising pilots to everyday ways of working across Business Finance and IR. You will:

• Partner with Business Finance and IR to identify, prioritise and shape AI opportunities and a roadmap linked to clear business outcomes.
• Lead selected use cases from problem definition and process mapping through prototyping, testing, implementation and adoption.
• Build and maintain a repository of practical, scalable AI tools – reusable prompts, agents, skills and workflows that improve quality, speed and consistency.
• Act as the bridge between Novo’s AI Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and Business Finance and IR, securing the right guidance and delivery support and keeping what we build up to date.
• Drive adoption through training, coaching and hands-on support, including leading the Business Finance and IR AI Champion network.
• Make sure everything you deliver follows Novo’s AI, data, security and agentic governance requirements, with clear human oversight, ownership and validation.

Who you’ll work with

You will join the BI & EA Team in Business Finance, part of Finance, Legal & Global Solutions – where colleagues safeguard the business, provide corporate infrastructure and help create value so Novo can deliver on its purpose.

The team is five highly engaged colleagues who turn data into actionable insights. They deliver Power BI reporting across International Operations, R&D and HQ functions, and act as EA to the GVP of Business Finance, driving strategic projects. Now the team is expanding its focus to AI-enabled tools and adoption – and you will lead that shift.

Your role spans both Business Finance and IR, so you will work closely with finance colleagues and leaders across both areas, with AI Champions in the business, and with AI CoEs across Novo. Bringing these perspectives together, you will create clarity on priorities and help ideas move to delivery at pace.
