Boyum IT Solutions is seeking an AI Engineer to design and build AI-powered applications and services. You will develop backend APIs, work with LLM-powered workflows, and contribute to data pipelines and knowledge bases.
The role focuses on practical, real‑world AI implementations within our Unified Platform Services team. You’ll collaborate with product teams, explore AI tools, and deploy solutions in Azure.
We’re looking for an AI Engineer who enjoys building useful software and wants to work hands‑on with, not just experiment with it, but turn it into solutions people actually use.
At Boyum IT, we’re exploring how AI can make a real difference across our products and the way we work internally. That might mean building an assistant that helps colleagues find the right information faster, supporting our customer‑facing teams with smarter tools, or connecting AI capabilities with our existing products and systems.
This is a practical, hands‑on engineering role. You’ll have space to explore new ideas, but the goal is always the same: build something useful, reliable, and ready for the real world.
You don’t need to know every technology in our stack from day one. We’re looking for a strong software engineer who already has some hands‑on experience with AI and wants to go deeper.
We call ourselves the “Unified Platform Services” team and work across products and development teams to build shared solutions and make individual product teams more effective. We also help shape how AI is used across our different products. We are a small team with a mix of skills across AI, DevOps, and traditional software development.
As our new AI engineer colleague, you will be assigned to specific AI projects and deliveries, but you’ll also share what you learn and help other development teams make effective use of AI tools. As part of these two focus areas, you will:
Our current technology landscape includes Python, PostgreSQL/vector, Dagster, Azure, Azure AI Foundry, MCP, Docker and Azure DevOps. You do not need to have worked with all of these before joining.
We think you’ll be a good match if you have:
Experience with any of the following is a bonus, not a checklist:
At Boyum IT, our culture is built around Energy for Life - the belief that people do their best work when they feel energized, supported, and able to balance work with life outside of work.
For us, Energy for Life means creating a workplace where people can grow professionally, stay healthy, feel connected, and have the flexibility to be present for family, friends, and personal priorities.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
