Synagen GmbH is seeking a VP Engineering to build and lead the engineering organisation for our AI platform in Berlin. You will own delivery from architecture to production, translating product requirements into solid technical designs and execution plans.

Qualifikationen

• Experience building and leading engineering teams in fast-moving product companies.
• Proven track record taking products from prototype to production while scaling teams, processes and technical foundations.
• Strong engineering judgement across Python-based backend systems, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and AI-enabled products.
• Experience building and operating LLM or agentic systems in production, including evaluation, guardrails and failure handling.
• You use modern AI coding tools as a core part of your engineering workflow and can effectively review and quality-control AI-generated code.
• Evidence of making fast, high-quality decisions under ambiguity, including deciding what not to build.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical workflows, FHIR, regulated or safety-critical software, or enterprise software deployments is a strong advantage, but not required.
• Excellent written and spoken English. German is a plus, but not required.
