Merantix Capital is seeking an intern to build the internal systems that speed up investment work in Berlin. You will ship an automated dealflow triage layer, a searchable knowledge system, and daily-use internal agents for the investment team.
You will work directly with partners, operate with minimal specs, and deliver end-to-end solutions with a focus on maintainability. Availability for 3–6 months, onsite in Berlin, and English proficiency are required.
We invest in companies building at the frontier of AI. We think a fund that does that should run on the same stack it funds, so we automate our own work instead of hiring more people to do it manually.
Today a lot of our operating layer is still hand-rolled: dealflow arrives by inbox and LinkedIn and gets triaged by humans, deal notes and call transcripts live in places nobody searches, LP and portfolio reporting is assembled by hand every quarter. Each of those is an automation problem, and nobody currently owns them.
That's the job. You will own building the internal systems that make this fund faster working directly with our partners, shipping to real users (us) from week one. This is not a traditional VC internship. You will not be building comp tables.
What you will have shipped
Helps, but we'll teach you: experience with CRM or reporting infrastructure (we use Attio); prior startup, VC or founder experience; a background in Computer Science or Engineering.
You don't need any prior finance or VC experience. If you've automated your way out of a job before, that's the signal we're looking for.
Our hierarchy is flat and communication direct, which means that we operate and learn fast, as a team. Our team and work environment can be described as follows:
In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect the following:
We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity. We consider all applications equally regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity.
