U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks a Training Technician at the National Detector Dog Training Center to support education and training programs for PPQ, APHIS, DHS, and other stakeholders. The role collaborates with field specialists to ensure effective delivery of detector dog training.
Responsibilities include canine procurement, initial evaluations, LMS support, and administrative document preparation. This position emphasizes data collection and program delivery within the Newnan, GA area.
You will serve as a Training Technician at the National Detector Dog Training Center (NDDTC). You will work closely with the specialists in the field of training and education to ensure accomplishment of education and training programs for Plant Protection and Quarantine(PPQ), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Department of Homeland Security(DHS) employees, and/or other stakeholders (i.e., federal, states department of agriculture).
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
