ABB Robotics invites applications for a Trade Finance role within the global Trade Finance function. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of bank guarantees and related instruments, partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, and banking partners across the world in a hybrid work setup.

The position supports automation and digitalization of processes in a fast-moving international environment. The role reports to the Head of Trade & Structured Finance and requires strong English communication,

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Treasury or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Trade Finance, Treasury Operations, Banking or Corporate Finance, with multinational exposure.
• Knowledge of bank guarantees, bonds, LOCs and international trade finance practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in an international setting.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, process-driven with interest in automation and digitalization.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

This Position Reports To

Head of Cash Management

Reporting to the Head of Trade & Structured Finance, you will join ABB Robotics’ newly established global Trade Finance function and play a key role in building a modern, scalable capability for the standalone organization. You will manage a broad portfolio of trade finance activities, with a strong focus on bank guarantees, while partnering with Sales, Finance, Legal, Treasury and banking partners across the world. Beyond day-to-day execution, you will help shape global processes, ensure efficient and compliant trade finance operations and contribute to automation and digitalization. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to take ownership and help build something new in a fast-moving international environment.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

The location can be within Europe.

Your Responsibilities

• Global guarantee management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, bonds and other trade finance instruments across ABB Robotics’ global entities.
• Business partnering: Work closely with Sales, Key Account Management, Finance, Legal and business teams to understand requirements and provide practical trade finance guidance.
• Bank coordination: Coordinate with banks and financial institutions on guarantee issuance, wording, documentation, limits and day-to-day transactions across multiple countries.
• Portfolio & reporting: Monitor the guarantee portfolio, facilities, expiries, utilization and fees, maintaining accurate records and providing relevant reporting and KPIs.
• Structured & working-capital finance: Support the Head of Trade & Structured Finance with solutions such as receivables factoring, supply-chain/payables finance and leasing-related structures.
• Process improvement & digitalization: Help develop standardized processes, controls and systems and drive automation and continuous improvement across global trade finance operations.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Treasury or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Trade Finance, Treasury Operations, Banking or Corporate Finance, with proven experience working in a multinational environment and with global banking partners
• Strong knowledge of bank guarantees, bonds, letters of credit and international trade finance practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an international environment.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and process-driven, with an interest in automation, digitalization and continuous improvement.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
