Zusammenfassung

Rolls‑Royce in Germany is looking for a Thermofluid specialist to define, develop and optimize high‑performance systems for aerospace propulsion. You will work across the full product lifecycle, employing CFD and 1D network modeling to deliver safe and efficient engine solutions.

You will collaborate with global teams, contribute to new technologies, and support verification, validation and certification activities, ensuring technical excellence from concept to in-service support.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proactive, persistent and customer focused, with self-motivation and initiative, able to work independently.
  • Expertise in fluid dynamics and heat transfer, plus state-of-the-art tools such as CFD or 1D network models.
  • Experience in gas turbine secondary air, oil, fuel or thermal modeling is preferred.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to convey points effectively.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good English (spoken and written); knowledge of German is a plus.

  • Define, develop and optimize Thermofluid systems across the full product lifecycle using advanced modelling and simulation tools.

  • Take ownership of requirements, verification, validation, and ensure models and hardware meet specifications through certification and in-service support.
  • Present Thermofluid accountabilities to stakeholders and the global audit team during scheduled reviews.
  • Pursue professional growth through learning opportunities and cross-project involvement.

What you will be doing:
  • Innovate and Optimize: Be at the forefront of defining, developing and optimizing Thermofluid systems. You’ll tackle real-life engineering challenges across the full product lifecycle, using advanced modelling and simulation tools to deliver safe, reliable & high-performance solutions.
  • Collaborate Globally: Work side-by-side with passionate engineers worldwide, exchanging expertise and applying your ideas for novel thermofluid architectures. Support the design of engine components and contribute to new technologies and greener, more efficient engines for the future.
  • See Your Work Take Flight: From digital modeling to hands-on experimental tests, you’ll see your concepts become reality—fueling advances in Thermal, Air, Oil, and Fuel systems for complex aerospace applications.
  • Drive Sustainable Progress: Participate in technical projects that directly impact aviation sustainability, reliability, and safety. Coordinate research activities and assist in securing new projects aligned with the company’s R&T strategy, thereby shaping new standards in system performance and efficiency, supporting global initiatives for cleaner skies.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Take ownership throughout the process—specifying requirements, leading verification and validation, approving models and related hardware, and ensuring technical excellence from initial concept through certification compliance creation to in-service support. Who we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or comparable qualifications.
  • Proactive, persistent and customer focused with a high level of self-motivation and initiative, and able to stand alone.
  • Expertise and know-how in the field of fluid dynamics and heat transfer as well as state-of-the‑art engineering tools such as CFD or 1d network models.
  • Experience in gas turbine secondary air system, oil system, fuel system or thermal modeling is preferred.
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to get your point across in an impactful manner.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good English written and spoken. Knowledge of German is an asset.
