About the profession

The job of a technical product designer specializing in machine and plant engineering is very diverse and varied, as they are directly involved in the new and further development of the company’s product range. He supports the project manager in the implementation by creating technical drawings, plans and bases and carries out technical calculations. He is also familiar with the basics of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrotechnical control techniques.

Prerequisites for the training

• Qualified secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate
• Good grades in math and physics
• Diligence, accuracy and perseverance
• Spatial imagination

• Basic training in the training workshop (materials science, basic skills in manual and mechanical materials processing)
• Reading and using technical bases
• Performing technical calculations
