Optimus Search in Berlin is seeking a Technical Lead for a Dynamic Pricing Platform. The role is hybrid in Berlin and permanent, leading a cross-functional team to build scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS.

You will develop high-performance applications using Java and Python, architect APIs and data pipelines, and collaborate with Product and Data Science to deliver innovative pricing solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in Software Engineering with 2+ years in a Technical Leadership role.
• Experience leading engineering teams and architectural decisions.
• Strong background in Java & Python development.
• Experience with CI/CD, Agile and cloud-native development.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and distributed systems.

Technical Lead – Dynamic Pricing Platform | Berlin (Hybrid) | Permanent

What you’ll be doing:

• Define the technical roadmap for a next-generation dynamic pricing platform
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Software & Data Engineers
• Design and build scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS
• Develop high-performance applications using Java, Python & PySpark/Spark
• Architect APIs, microservices, distributed systems and data pipelines
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science and Business teams to deliver innovative pricing solutions
• Champion engineering excellence, Agile delivery and DevOps best practices

What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in Java & Python development
• Experience building enterprise-scale software and distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Glue, Redshift)
• Experience with Spark / PySpark, ETL pipelines and big data processing
• 5+ years in Software Engineering with 2+ years in a Technical Leadership role
• Experience leading engineering teams and making architectural decisions
• CI/CD, Agile and cloud-native development experience

Nice to have:

• Machine Learning or optimisation algorithms
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, travel or fintech pricing systems
