Teliogroup in Hamburg seeks a Team Lead Architecture to shape the platform's technical future. You will guide architectural transformation of a mission-critical system in regulated environments, reporting to the Head of Engineering in Budapest and collaborating with Product.

You will mentor a small team of architects, drive governance and interoperability, champion security-by-design, integrate APIs, and lead R&D for AI/ML and modern real-time tech, while balancing delivery with long-term

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of software industry experience with a strong grounding in Microsoft ecosystem.
• Proven track record in large-scale system transformations and distributed, API-driven architectures.
• Fluent in German and English (B2 minimum) and willingness to travel internationally.

• Define and champion a long-term architectural vision aligned with global business strategy.
• Serve as senior technical advisor to the COO, providing due diligence and risk assessments.
• Drive architectural alignment across distributed teams via shared standards and direction.
• Establish platform governance and 'Golden Paths' to accelerate delivery.
• Lead innovation, including R&D and PoCs for AI/ML, real-time comms, and media tech.
• Evolve a cloud-native, secure platform, modernizing legacy components into modular APIs.
• Act as technical lead for tenders in government and regulated sectors.
• Partner with Product to ensure ownership boundaries and data-driven improvements.
• Embed architects into Scrum teams for reusable components and telemetry feedback.
• Manage and mentor a small team of architects.

Your mission

As Team Lead Architecture, you shape the technical future of our platform. You will lead the architectural transformation of a mission-critical platform operating in highly regulated environments. You will report to our Head of Engineering in Budapest.

• Define and champion a long-term architectural vision tightly aligned with global business strategy.
• Serve as the COO’s senior technical advisor, providing due diligence, risk assessments, and build-vs-buy guidance.
• Drive architectural alignment across distributed engineering teams through shared standards and unified platform direction.
• Establish pragmatic platform governance and "Golden Paths" that accelerate delivery without slowing teams down.
• Lead innovation efforts, including R&D and PoCs for AI/ML, real-time communication, and media technologies.
• Guide the evolution of a cloud-native, secure, highly scalable platform while modernizing legacy monolith components into modular APIs.
• Act as the technical lead for high-stakes tenders, especially in government and regulated sectors.
• Partner with Product to ensure clear ownership boundaries, modular design, and data-driven architectural improvements.
• Embed architects into Scrum teams to ensure reusable components, consistent APIs, and continuous feedback from production telemetry.
• Manage and mentor a small team of architects, balancing operational load with long‑term strategic investments.

Your profile

• You excel at breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into structured, actionable solutions.

• You balance strategic architectural vision with pragmatic delivery constraints.
• You bring 8+ years of software industry experience with strong grounding in the Microsoft ecosystem.
• You have a proven track record in large-scale system transformations, cloud-native platforms, and distributed, API-driven architectures.
• You’re fluent in API integration patterns (REST/SOAP/API gateways) and real-time communication protocols (VoIP/V2oIP).
• You operate with a Security-by-Design mindset and are comfortable in regulated or government environments.
• You’re well‑versed in modern engineering patterns - TDD, microservices, event-driven systems, and open-source stacks - with bonus strengths in GovTech, multicultural orgs, and tools like Puppet, Git, and Atlassian.
• You’re fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level)
• You’re willing to travel internationally from time to time.
