DAW Deutschland seeks a Sustainability Professional – Life Cycle Assessment Specialist to join our Sustainability Team. You create LCAs and EPDS per EN 15804 and account for Scope 3.

You manage EPD verifications in national/international settings with program operators, and design digital processes and Python scripts to automate data mapping for LCA/EPD.

Qualifikationen

To strengthen our multi-person, group-wide Sustainability Team, we are seeking an additional Sustainability Professional* Life Cycle Assessment Specialist

to join us as soon as possible. This role offers the possibility of working from home and remotely within Germany for a total of 9 days per month (based on full-time employment).

Here's what you can expect:

• You create product-related life cycle assessments (LCAs) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) in accordance with current standards (e.g. EN 15804+A2) and also take complex Scope 3 aspects into account.
• In addition, you will independently manage and control EPD verification processes in national and international environments in cooperation with the responsible program operators (e.g. IBU, EPD Hub).
• The design and further development of digital processes, scripts (e.g. Python) and interfaces to automate information provision and raw material mapping for the creation of EPDs and LCAs is also a central part of your task.
• You are responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of an SAP-based certificate management system to integrate ERP data with LCA systems for product-related certificates and environmental labels.
• You can expect an exciting, varied and multifaceted interface function with many internal departments (R&D, product management) of DAW as well as relevant external stakeholders.
• Furthermore, the role offers a steep learning curve at a successful player in the owner-managed German Mittelstand (SME sector).

You bring the following:

• You have successfully completed a degree in natural sciences, engineering or business administration and have already gained sound practical knowledge in the field of life cycle analysis and environmental assessment as well as in the application of related software (e.g. OpenLCA, OneClick LCA) and database systems (e.g. ecoinvent).
• You are a team player, but you also enjoy working independently as a key expert with a high degree of creative freedom; you find the complex and dynamic environment within our matrix structure to be an exciting challenge.
• In addition, you are distinguished by your proactive personality, a systematic way of working, and your focus on pragmatic solutions when analyzing existing processes and standards and designing or further developing new ones.
• You have a good sense for the perspectives of various internal and external stakeholders and can communicate the resulting requirements in a way that is appropriate for the target audience.
• You possess a high affinity for IT (databases, APIs, script-based automation), ideally complemented by sound SAP user knowledge for data integration.
• With your excellent German and English skills, you communicate confidently and convincingly across all hierarchical levels, both in national and international environments.
