DATA MODUL Aktiengesellschaft Produktion und Vertrieb von elektronischen Systemen in Munich is seeking a Sustainability Manager to develop and promote a sustainability-driven culture, translating regulatory demands into practical solutions.

You will lead cross-functional projects, manage reporting in line with CSRD and VSME, and engage with customers, suppliers, and auditors while advancing circular economy and sustainable packaging.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Sustainability Management, Environmental Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in sustainability or ESG management
• Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting (CSRD/VSME) and regulatory requirements (PPWR, DPP)
• Experience in project management and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with data, KPIs, and complex interrelationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in German and English

Aufgaben

• Further development of the sustainability strategy and promotion of a sustainability-driven corporate culture
• Analysis and evaluation of global sustainability trends and identification of strategic fields of action
• Translation of regulatory requirements (PPWR, DPP, ESPR) into practical and commercially viable solutions
• Management and continuous improvement of sustainability reporting in accordance with the VSME standard, including corporate and product carbon footprints (CCF/PCF) per GHG Protocol
• Planning, managing, and implementing cross-functional sustainability projects with a focus on circular economy and sustainable packaging
• Primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, investors, auditors and other stakeholders on sustainability topics

To strengthen our sustainability team in Munich, we are looking for you to join us as soon as possible as a Sustainability Manager / ESG-Manager (m/f/d).

Your responsibilities

• Further development of the sustainability strategy and promotion of a sustainability-driven corporate culture
• Analysis and evaluation of global sustainability trends and identification of strategic fields of action
• Translation of regulatory requirements (including PPWR, DPP, and ESPR) into practical and commercially viable solutions
• Management and continuous improvement of sustainability reporting in accordance with the VSME standard, including the preparation of corporate and product carbon footprints (CCF/PCF) in line with the GHG Protocol, as well as the management of relevant sustainability ratings and certifications (e.g. EcoVadis)
• Planning, managing, and implementing cross-functional sustainability projects with a focus on circular economy initiatives and sustainable packaging solutions
• Primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders on all relevant sustainability topics

Your profile

• Successfully completed degree in Sustainability Management, Environmental Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in sustainability or ESG management, or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting (CSRD/VSME), carbon accounting (CCF/PCF), and relevant regulatory requirements (including PPWR and DPP)
• Experience in project management and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently with data, KPIs, and complex interrelationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident professional presence and fluency in both German and English
