About the Job

As Supplier Relationship & Third-Party Risk Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening how MSIG Europe manages supplier relationships, vendor performance, and third-party risk across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Procurement in the Netherlands, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of the supplier governance and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework in a highly regulated international insurance environment.

You will act as a trusted procurement advisor and commercial partner to the business, ensuring supplier resilience, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation. Working closely with Procurement, IT, Legal, Information Security, Cyber Security, and business stakeholders, you will oversee the full supplier lifecycle while helping to build a best-in-class Procurement function across MSIG Europe.

This role offers the opportunity to operate at a strategic level while remaining hands‑on in supplier governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Develop and continuously improve the supplier relationship management and third‑party risk framework across MSIG Europe.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to align procurement objectives with business needs.
  • Act as a procurement advisor and commercial partner on third‑party spend, supplier performance, and risk‑related matters.
  • Contribute to the Procurement strategy with a focus on supplier resilience, risk‑informed sourcing, and long‑term value creation.
  • Ensure the Procurement Framework is understood, adopted, and implemented across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes for critical suppliers and contracts.
  • Create and manage supplier scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Lead Quarterly Service Reviews (QSRs) and annual executive supplier meetings.
  • Identify supplier performance gaps and drive Service Improvement Plans where needed.
  • Influence supplier performance through effective negotiation, constructive challenge, and contractual management.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, Cyber Security, Information Security, and vendor managers to assess supplier risks and address performance concerns.
  • Coordinate Third‑Party Risk Management activities across departments and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Manage regulatory reporting obligations related to critical vendors, including interactions with regulators such as the NBB.
  • Maintain and update risk assessment methodologies and templates to align with evolving regulatory requirements, including DORA.
  • Monitor external market developments and emerging risks related to third‑party contracting.
  • Support the adoption of procurement technologies, analytics, and best‑practice procurement processes.
  • Take ownership of procurement projects and initiatives as assigned by the Head of Procurement.
  • Contribute to cross‑border procurement initiatives and support organizational change efforts.
Your Profile
  • Proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management, Procurement, Vendor Management, or Third‑Party Risk Management.
  • Experience working within highly regulated industries such as insurance, banking, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of third‑party risk, supplier governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks, including DORA, is considered a strong advantage.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills across all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to challenge constructively and negotiate effectively.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance cost, risk, resilience, and long‑term value.
  • Affinity with legal and contractual aspects of supplier management and the ability to translate business needs into contractual frameworks.
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and evolving environment while driving best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch, French, or German are considered an advantage.
  • A proactive self‑starter with a collaborative mindset and strong sense of accountability.
What Success Looks Like
  • Building strong and resilient supplier relationships across the organization.
  • Improving supplier performance visibility through effective governance and reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal third‑party risk requirements.
  • Driving procurement best practices and strengthening procurement maturity across MSIG Europe.
