The Pratt & Whitney Quality & Process Engineering (QPE) organization is seeking an energetic, self-starter to provide quality engineering support for the Global Supply Chain value stream as a Supplier Metallurgical Control Specialist (SMCS). The QPE group is responsible for the management, implementation and subsequent surveillance of several quality management systems within the global supply base including Laboratory Control at Source (LCS), Engineering Source Approval (ESA), special processes Source Qualification (SQ) and Supplier Authorizations (SA). This position is field-based. There will be an initial training period of 6-12 months (depending on experience) under the direction of an experienced SMCS in the region. Because this position is field-based, the candidate must be self-directed and manage their own schedule to meet the business requirements. This position requires a minimum of 30% travel.
Education: B.S. degree in Materials, Metallurgy, or other Engineering discipline.
