  • Provide timely information and complete required case-management activities to keep cases progressing through established workflows.
  • Verify beneficiary eligibility and review, validate, and update case documentation as needed.
  • Investigate and confirm third-party liability, probate matters, and beneficiary assets relevant to recovery.
  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, recipients, family members, and clients through phone calls and written correspondence.
  • Prepare correspondence, liens, claims, and other documentation required to advance cases toward recovery.
  • Negotiate and compromise claim and lien settlement amounts within applicable contractual guidelines.
  • Process claim and lien disputes and collaborate with attorneys and other stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
  • Conduct periodic follow-up regarding case status, settlement activity, and payments.
  • Perform basic and advanced document review, legal research, and case analysis to determine status and support progression through the workflow.
  • Prioritize critical case events, payment issues, recovery opportunities, and legal deadlines that may affect revenue outcomes.
  • Compile and analyze information from multiple sources to determine case status, liability, and appropriate next steps.
  • Meet established customer service and quality objectives while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Prepare periodic reports and case updates for management as required.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and government security requirements when handling and sharing protected health information.
  • Serve as an escalation point for project teams when appropriate and support issue resolution.
  • Contribute to training initiatives by developing application-specific training materials, templates, job aids, and documentation.
  • Deliver targeted application training based on identified user needs and coordinate with product teams to keep training resources aligned with system updates.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties that support operational objectives.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings healthcare, insurance, legal, or subrogation experience combined with strong investigative, analytical, communication, and organizational abilities. You should be comfortable managing multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
