Fraunhofer SIT in Darmstadt is seeking a student assistant in Windows Binary Fuzzing. You will evaluate existing binary fuzzers on Windows binaries and expand program corpora for further evaluation.

You may co-develop a dynamic program analysis tool. Requirements include a computer science degree and programming skills in C and C++, knowledge of x86-64 assembler, and interest in debugger-supported binary analysis.

To support our team, we are now looking for a student assistant in the field of Windows Binary Fuzzing. IT security knowledge is not necessarily required.

What you will do

• Evaluation of existing binary fuzzers on Windows binaries
• Expanding program corpora for further evaluation of Windows binary fuzzers
• Potentially co-develop a dynamic program analysis tool

What you bring to the table

• Computer science degree and programming skills in C and C++ (please provide current transcript of records!)
• Knowledge of x86-64 assembler
• Experience with/interest in debugger-supported analysis of binaries without debug information
• Knowledge of Windows Internals or willingness to familiarize yourself with Windows Internals
• Ability to work independently and interest in learning new things

The weekly working time is 10-20 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
