RWTH Aachen University is seeking a Student Assistant to support the design and assembly of a hydraulic pressure intensifier project. The role involves hands-on assembly, CAD updates, and documentation while contributing ideas and gaining practical experience on a real research project.

We are developing a hydraulically driven, double-acting pressure intensifier for high-pressure fuel injection applications (up to 700 bar output). The project spans design, simulation, and hands-on prototype manufacturing. Initially, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the topic and gradually work independently on practical tasks.

The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of one year.
If you wish, the contract can also be arranged for a shorter term.
This is a part‑time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 8-13 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 15,20 € per hour.
