Fusion Consulting is a globally leading Life Sciences focused consultancy seeking a Senior Strategy Consultant, Data AI and Technology. You will shape data and AI strategies at the highest level and translate thinking into actionable strategies for leadership.

You will lead workshops, guide governance, and influence technology choices while staying close to execution. The role blends strategic advisory with hands-on collaboration across teams.

Job Description

Fusion's clients across pharma, biotech and medtech are under pressure to turn data and AI from isolated initiatives into a source of competitive advantage. The Senior Strategy Consultant, Data AI and Technology is a senior advisory role within our Data Office, responsible for shaping how clients think about data, AI and technology at the highest level and translating that thinking into strategies leadership can act on.

The role is both strategic and hands on: leading client conversations from first workshop to final recommendation, while staying close enough to the underlying technology to challenge and guide the teams that build it. You will help clients decide where to invest, how to govern what they build and how to sequence change across a complex, regulated business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and communicate data, AI and technology strategies that align with client business objectives
• Lead client workshops, steering committees and executive discussions from design through follow-up
• Build and present business cases for data and AI investments, tied to measurable value
• Shape governance models for data and AI that clients can operate sustainably, not just adopt on paper
• Guide clients through technology and platform decisions without owning the technical build
• Translate complex technical topics into insight leadership can act on, including through strong visual storytelling
• Manage senior stakeholder relationships and align competing agendas across functions
• Coach client teams and Fusion colleagues on structured problem solving and strategic communication

Qualifications

You're Good At

• Structuring ambiguous problems into a clear point of view under time pressure
• Running a room of senior stakeholders and driving a workshop toward a decision
• Building a business case that survives scrutiny from finance and technology leaders alike
• Producing polished, executive ready presentations that carry an argument on their own
• Talking credibly with data architects and AI engineers without needing to build it yourself
• Balancing client relationship management with the need to push back and challenge

What You'll Bring

• Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science or related field; MBA a plus
• 6 to 10+ years of experience, including 3+ years at MBB, a top tier boutique or a Big 4 strategy arm
• Track record leading client workshops and owning deliverables independently
• Strong grounding in data strategy, AI strategy or technology strategy, ideally including governance
• Life sciences or other regulated industry experience appreciated, not required
• Native or fluent in German and English
