Oleon, a global leader in natural fats and oils, is seeking a Strategic Marketing Manager to shape Oleon's long-term commercial direction. You will drive market intelligence, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable strategies across business units.

You will lead pricing governance, develop value propositions, and enable sales with compelling tools, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

  • You hold a master’s degree in business, economics, marketing, engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in strategic marketing, business strategy, product management, market intelligence, consulting, or commercial leadership, preferably within a B2B, chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
  • You have a proven track record of translating market insights into successful business strategies, growth initiatives, and commercial decisions.
  • You possess strong analytical capabilities and enjoy transforming complex market, customer, and competitive information into actionable recommendations.
  • You have experience with market segmentation, portfolio management, strategic pricing, and value proposition development.

The job

At Oleon, we believe that sustainable growth starts with a deep understanding of markets, customers, and future industry developments. As Strategic Marketing Manager, you play a pivotal role in shaping Oleon's long-term commercial direction and ensuring that our growth ambitions are firmly anchored in market reality and customer value.

You are responsible for developing and driving Oleon's strategic marketing agenda across all business segments. Through deep market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis, you identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, disruptive technologies, regulatory developments, and market shifts that may impact Oleon's future positioning.

You define where Oleon should compete and win by identifying the most attractive market applications, customer segments, and growth platforms. Working closely with Business, Sales, Innovation, Product Management and Leadership Teams, you translate market insights into actionable business strategies and support the evolution from cost-plus selling towards a value-based commercial approach.

As a strategic partner to the commercial and innovation organizations, you help prioritize initiatives that generate sustainable value for customers and the business.

You lead the development of compelling value propositions, commercialization strategies, and sales enablement tools that help differentiate Oleon in increasingly competitive markets. Through strong internal storytelling and stakeholder engagement, you ensure strategic priorities are understood, embraced, and translated into action across the organization.

You also take ownership in our pricing governance, setting the pricing rules of engagement, reporting & analyzing overall pricing strategy, being consulted for pricing exceptions and long-term c agreements.

In addition, you contribute to Oleon's strategic growth agenda through the evaluation of strategic partnerships, business development opportunities, and M&A initiatives. Leveraging your market expertise, you support opportunity screening, strategic assessments, and business case development for potential investments and partnerships.

As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you transform complex market data into clear strategic recommendations and contribute to building Oleon's long-term competitive advantage and sustainable growth strategy.

Who are we looking for?
You'll succeed if:
  • You hold a master’s degree in business, economics, marketing, engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in strategic marketing, business strategy, product management, market intelligence, consulting, or commercial leadership, preferably within a B2B, chemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
  • You have a proven track record of translating market insights into successful business strategies, growth initiatives, and commercial decisions.
  • You possess strong analytical capabilities and enjoy transforming complex market, customer, and competitive information into actionable recommendations.
  • You have experience with market segmentation, portfolio management, strategic pricing, and value proposition development.
  • You are able to lead strategic initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • You combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic execution mindset and a strong focus on business impact.
  • You are internationally minded and enjoy working in a global and multicultural environment.
  • Fluent proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of French or Dutch is considered an asset.
