Job Responsibilities

• Independently assemble largewelded steel structures based on technical drawings, bills ofmaterials (BOMs) and work plans.
• Work with heavy assembliesranging from approximately 100 kg up to 50 tonnes.
• Work with steel materialshaving thicknesses of approximately 6–150 mm.
• Align, fit and tack-weldcomponents accurately.
• Straighten steel constructionsand check shape, position and dimensional accuracy.
• Safely handle and positionheavy components during assembly.
• Carry out final welding whererequired.

Requirements

• Relevant vocationalqualification or professional experience in steel fabrication,structural steelwork, construction mechanics or a related trade.
