Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, develop and deliver features and technical solutions within a collaborative team. You will lead modernization efforts, enable AI-related functionality, and raise engineering standards across the backend.

You will mentor peers, support personal development, and balance hands-on delivery with enabling other engineers and processes, working autonomously with senior engineers to solve complex problems.

Qualifikationen

• Expert-level backend engineering skills in C# / .NET.
• Experience with automated testing, DevOps practices, and databases.
• Strong product mindset and understanding of business context behind technical decisions.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate with senior engineers without task breakdown.
• Comfort with mentoring, cross-team collaboration, or representing the team on broader initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and an Upper‑intermediate (B2) or higher level of English.

Responsibilities

• Work hands‑on within your team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of features and technical solutions
• Lead technical modernization efforts within your team while enabling delivery of new functionality, including AI-related features
• Raise engineering standards and practices across the backend, and help solve problems shared across multiple teams
• Help teams turn ambiguous, poorly defined problems into a clear plan of action when experience or confidence is lacking
• Contribute to the growth of engineers around you through mentoring, input into personal development plans, and recommendations on skills, resources, or courses
• Balance hands‑on delivery with acting as an enabler for other engineers and processes, rather than simply directing others' work

Requirements

• Expert-level backend engineering skills in C# / .NET
• Solid experience with automated testing, DevOps practices, and working with databases
• A strong product mindset – understanding of the business and product context behind technical decisions
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate as a peer with senior engineers, without needing tasks broken down for you
• Comfort with responsibilities beyond pure technical delivery, such as mentoring, cross‑team collaboration, or representing the team on broader initiatives
• Strong communication skills and an Upper‑intermediate (B2) or higher level of English.
• Nice to have: Hands‑on experience building or integrating AI‑related features
• Experience with system design and architecture‑level decision‑making
