D-Wave is seeking a Staff Cybersecurity Analyst to drive 24/7 threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management across the enterprise. This role reports to the Vice President, Enterprise Security and emphasizes automation and analytics to protect operations.

D-Wave is seeking a Staff Cybersecurity Analyst. In this role, you will support 24/7 threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, system security, and enterprise resilience. You will report to the Vice President, Enterprise Security to conduct continuous monitoring, detection, response, and prevention while advancing automation and analytics to support secure enterprise operations.
You will work across D-Wave teams to strengthen D-Wave’s security posture through collaboration and promoting security awareness.
Please note that this role is open to candidates in Canada or the USA and can be Remote, Hybrid or Onsite.
Develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-wide detection and response capabilities leveraging SIEM, XRD, and Threat Intelligence platforms
Develop and enhance threat detection rules through scripting and platform configuration
Evaluate and enhance identity and access management platform security posture
Evaluate and enhance endpoint security posture through collaboration with end user support
Conduct risk evaluations of applications and Software as a Service (SaaS) providers.
Evaluate and enhance Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform
Evaluate and enhance network security posture through collaboration with technology teams
Evaluate and enhance cloud security posture through collaboration with technology teams
Lead or support incident response activations for cyber related events
Conduct employee security awareness training as directed to elevate security posture of employees
Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or information technology, or equivalent experience required
Industry security certifications preferred, but not required
7+ years of hands‑on cyber security experience, global responsibility preferred
Deep understanding, development, and hands‑on operation of Microsoft 365 capabilities to include security stack to secure an enterprise organization
Experience conducting and leading incident response teams during technical responses
Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution to monitor and response to incidents
Experience conducting ad-hoc security education as needed during interactions
Experience troubleshooting endpoints and identities to identify and correct issues
Experience conducting application and SaaS risk evaluations, providing compensating controls and recommendations
